These
different groups are led by trained female volunteers aged 18-65, although
males and females of all ages support guiding in many different ways,
including helping at unit meetings, with unit accounts, and at residential
events.

Called scouts so she came up with guides so girls can have fun as boys did. |

Guide unit
meet regularly, usually once a week during school terms. There are often
other opportunities for Guides to take part in special activities and events
throughout the year. Many Guide units go away on holiday, to camp or on
overnight sleepovers. |
