David Livingstone
 

David Livingstone had 6 brothers and 6 sisters.

When he was 10 he went to work in a cotton mill.

In 1840 he became a priest.

He went to south Africa in 1814.

He tried to stop people buying and selling African's as slaves.

He explored Inland Africa.

He named a big waterfall, Victoria falls after the queen.

He went back to explore Africa between 1858 and 1864.

His wife died in 1862.

He went back to Africa to find where the river nile began.

In 1871 Henry Stanly from Africa went to look for him.

David Livingstone was born in 1813 and died in 1873.

He found him in October. David Livingstone was not very well and needed food, and water and penicillin.

 

He is buried in Westminster Abbey.

He still had not found the start of the river Nile and died in May 1873.
